Through competency certifications issued by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), BIFL also equips students with specialized competencies. This certification is managed by the UMM Professional Certification Institute (LSP), which can be used by graduates as additional competencies that are often needed when looking for jobs. There are five competency schemes that have been verified, namely: 

1. the Halal Butcher Scheme,
2. the Basic Amil Zakat Scheme,
3. the Amil Zakat Manager Scheme,
4. the Halal Supervisor Scheme,
5. the Waqf Property Acceptance Scheme. 

These five schemes are an excellence program that only exists in the BIFL UMM and not owned by similar study programmes in other universities in Indonesia.
