Malang, December 11, 2024 – The Islamic Family Law (HKI) Study Program at the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI) Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) actively participated in the Anti-Corruption Academy Workshop held at the GKB III Building, 5th Floor Auditorium. The event, which took place on Tuesday morning from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, was organized by FAI UMM in collaboration with Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW).

This event was attended by all FAI students from four study programs: Islamic Education, Islamic Family Law, Sharia Economics, and Arabic Education. The Dean of FAI, Prof. Dr. Khozin, M.Si., opened the event with a speech emphasizing the crucial role of students in fostering an anti-corruption culture.

The workshop, led by the ICW team, aimed to provide students with insights into corruption issues in Indonesia, strategies for prevention, and the importance of integrity in professional and academic life. Additionally, students were encouraged to engage in discussions and formulate innovative ideas to combat corruption.

Following the workshop session, the event continued with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the Faculty of Islamic Studies and Indonesia Corruption Watch, as well as an Implementing Agreement (IA) with the four study programs, including Islamic Family Law. This agreement is expected to strengthen the synergy between FAI UMM and ICW in developing anti-corruption programs within the campus environment.

The Head of the HKI Study Program emphasized that the involvement of HKI students in this activity is part of the program's commitment to supporting the creation of a just and integrity-driven society, in line with the principles of Islamic law. "We believe that HKI students hold a strategic role as the next generation who will implement anti-corruption values in legal practice and community life," he stated.

Through this activity, Islamic Family Law students not only gained new insights into anti-corruption efforts but also felt inspired to contribute actively to combating corruption in Indonesia.
