The BIFL has pioneered several collaborations with universities and other agencies including:

1.      Cooperation in research with The European University Institute on Radicalisation, Secularism and The Governance of Religion: Bringing together European and Asean Perspective;

2.      Cooperation with Department of Malay Studies National University of Singapore in the academic areas;

3.      Cooperation with Al-Mustafa International University Qom Iran in the academic areas;

4.      Increased cooperation in the tridharma (Lecturers and Students), manifested in the form of an MoA with the association of study programs, with partners cooperation 1. Asosiasi ASAS PTM (Association of Ahwal Syakhshiyyah Perguruan Tinggi Muhammadiyah) 2. Perkumpulan Ahwal Syakhshiyyah (PERKASA) / Association of Islamic Family Law Study Programme) Kopertais 4, Asosiasi Program Studi Ahwal Syakhshiyyah Perguruan Tinggi Muhammadiyah (ASAS PTM)/ (Association of Islamic Family Law Study Programme at Muhammadiyah’s Higher Education). The goal is to increase research collaboration and improve the tri dharma program of higher education.

5.      Cooperation in the field of Scientific Publications with Asosiasi Dosen Hukum Keluarga Islam (ADHKI) / Association of Islamic Family Law Lecturer and Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam (STAI) /  Higher Education Institution Sayyid Muhammad Alwi Al-Maliki Koncer, Bondowoso.

6.      Implementation of student research dissemination between Perguruan Tinggi Muhammadiyah (PTM) Muhammadiyah Higher Education and Perguruan Tinggi Aisyiyah (PTA) / ‘Aisyiyah Higher Education.
