In the academic guidance and mentoring process, BIFL utilizes the university's website to provide easy access for students who wish to consult, make payments, or design their study plans. Academic guidance by advisors is conducted every semester to ensure students from all cohorts select and plan their courses wisely. Online course registration (KRS) is completed through direct meetings or online sessions, during which students are guided to choose courses in accordance with the allowed credit load. If a student achieved a cumulative GPA above 3.5 in the previous semester, they are entitled to take 24 credits. Conversely, if their GPA is below 3.5, they are entitled to take 22 credits (https://infokhs.umm.ac.id/).
The final project workshop process is conducted first, followed by thesis guidance clinics held by respective academic advisors appointed by the head of the study program. Subsequently, the thesis process is carried out with individual supervision by academic advisors within their respective groups. For internship guidance, the Syariah Laboratory divides students into several groups, each supervised by a field advisor. The guidance process is conducted both offline and online via the simlabsya.umm.ac.id platform.
