On Monday, February 20, 2023, the Islamic Family Law (HKI) Study Program at FAI-UMM held a workshop on the formulation of special competency schemes at the Rooftop Rayz Hotel UMM. The formulation of these special competency schemes aims to provide additional competencies for graduates, thereby increasing their chances of being employed in the workforce.

In his opening speech at the workshop, the Head of the HKI Study Program at UMM, Muhammadi Arif Zuhri, L.C., M.H.I., stated, "In the certification process, the professional certification scheme plays a central role in the certification activities conducted by BNSP. The implementation of work competency certification must refer to measurable and traceable professional certification schemes that align with the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards, International Work Competency Standards, and/or Special Standards that have been registered with the Ministry of Manpower," he explained.

A certification scheme can also be understood as a package of competencies and specific requirements related to the position or skills of an individual. The scheme is developed based on the needs of its users. The certification scheme can be chosen from the KKNI profession certification scheme, national occupation, or cluster.

The Secretary of the HKI Study Program, Soni Zakaria, S.Sy., M.H., further stated, "The HKI Study Program plays an important role in providing insight and equipping students and prospective alumni with competencies and skills through training, mentoring, and competency testing in areas such as Halal Supervisors and other areas that need to be formulated and developed."

In this workshop, the HKI Study Program proposed five schemes for certification, namely the Zakat Manager Scheme, the Property Acceptance for Endowments Scheme, the Halal Slaughtering Scheme, the Basic Zakat Collector Scheme, and the Halal Supervisor Scheme.

With the formulation of these schemes, it is expected that they will pass BNSP certification and positively impact the absorption of graduates in the business and industry sectors, as well as attract prospective new students to join the Islamic Family Law Study Program. (ik)
