Currently, digital platforms in the form of websites focusing on Islamic Law are on the rise. This presents an opportunity for all elements of society to get involved in the development of technology, including students of the Islamic Family Law (HKI) program at UMM. In response to this challenge, the HKI program at UMM organized the Kompetensi Ekstra Kulikuler Siswa Indonesia (KESI), which is open to all 12th-grade students and prospective new students of the HKI program at UMM.

On Tuesday, August 9, 2022, through a Zoom meeting platform, the HKI program held KESI, inviting a young journalist and founder of the website rahma.id, Mona Atalina, as one of the speakers. Despite being far from Yogyakarta, Mona, as she is called, enthusiastically delivered material and guidance to the participants.

According to her, currently, skills in managing social media, graphic design, and content creation for Islamic/Sharia websites can be a great opportunity for young people, especially those who have just graduated from high school. With these skills, students can earn side income or additional income, even while continuing their studies.

Mona explained why it is necessary to have a website to keep up with the flow of information and technology in the legal field. Among the reasons is that websites have collectivity, which allows people from different locations and time zones to come together.

Moreover, websites offer connectivity, enabling users to interact with one another through various platforms. One of the advantages of a website is its completeness, providing a package that allows individuals to contribute, enjoy, and share content.

Additionally, websites can enhance transparency for a company or institution through the content uploaded, which is referred to as clarity. Lastly, a website enables collaboration, inviting the audience to contribute and spread digital content.

In this event, participants were equipped with materials to develop competencies and skills to create content with a Sharia/Islamic tone for websites. They also gained the competence and ability to create news content with a Sharia/Islamic theme that can go viral, as well as the skills to design graphics for social media management.
