On Saturday, July 29, 2023, a few months ago, Muhammad Arif Zuhri, the Head of the Islamic Family Law Study Program at UMM, was entrusted with the position of Chairman of Perkasa (Perkumpulan Ahwal Syakhshiyah), while Idaul Hasanah was appointed as an advisory board member. They were officially inaugurated by Dr. Sri Warjiyati, S.H., M.H., a representative from Kopertais Wilayah IV Surabaya.
The event, held at the University of Nahdlatul Ulama Sunan Giri Bojonegoro, was not limited to the inauguration ceremony, but continued with the initial work agenda, the Perkasa Work Meeting (Raker). The Perkasa Work Meeting was the first gathering of the new executive team to establish practical steps, with the goal of developing high-quality work programs that would advance the Islamic Family Law Study Program, especially within private Islamic higher education institutions (PTKIS).
In his speech, Arif Zuhri mentioned that this work meeting is expected to enhance collaboration and synergy between Islamic Family Law Study Programs to improve the implementation of the Tridharma of higher education, particularly for the programs within Perkasa. Currently, there are approximately 54 Islamic Family Law Study Programs within private Islamic higher education institutions (PTKIS) under Kopertais Wilayah IV Surabaya, and many more are expected to join the association.
Additionally, the work meeting included a national seminar on the theme "Strengthening MBKM and Efforts to Increase the Market Share of the Islamic Family Law Study Program." The seminar featured Dr. Sri Warjiyati, S.H., M.H., an expert in Constitutional Law and a legal advisor at Kopertais Wilayah IV Surabaya. It is hoped that this seminar will help the Islamic Family Law Study Program enhance the implementation of MBKM and attract more prospective students to join the program.
